At Adelaide Dentalcare we often get a lot of questions from clients as to when, how or what to get. Firstly, to explain what exactly a veneer is.

A veneer is a custom-made piece of white resin or porcelain. It is then placed on the surface of your tooth, or teeth to give you the perfect smile. The first step in this process involves a consultation to see what our patients are wanting. We then proceed in designing and making the perfect smile. The next step is preparing the teeth and placing on the veneers. Our team are able to match your veneers with existing or neighbouring teeth because you may only want a few teeth replaced or sections of your smile fixed.

Alternatively, we can even transform your entire smile to exactly how you want it to be. Working closely with our dentists you are able to choose a shade for your veneers that will create a fresh, natural white smile. We are also able to match your veneers with existing teeth colours to avoid miscolouring throughout your smile.

Veneering requires two appointments. The first is to remove a thin layer of enamel from the surface of the tooth and to take an impression. The impression is sent to the dental technician who will fabricate the veneers. The second appointment is to check that the appearance is what is desired and to permanently cement the veneers to your teeth.
