Are You Looking For Veneers Adelaide.
Adelaide Dentalcare we cater for all things Veneers in Adelaide. Our dentists highly recommend the use of porcelain for veneers. We often get a lot of questions from clients as to when, how or why you should get veneers. Firstly, we must identify what exactly a veneer is.
A veneer is a custom made piece of white resin or porcelain. It is then placed on the surface of a tooth, or teeth. We like to consult all of our patients to see what your problems are. Then how we can design your perfect smile. The next step is preparing the teeth and placing the veneers on. Our team are able to match your veneers with existing or neighbouring teeth. We do this simply because you may only want a few replaced. Or we can even transform your smile to how you want it to be. The precision process allows a perfectly fitting veneer to correct discoloured, misshapen or gaps in teeth. Working closely with our expert dentists you are able to choose the a shade for your veneers that will create a fresh, natural white smile.

Porcelain Veneers Adelaide
Porcelain veneers are like false fingernails that are bonded onto the front surface of the teeth. However each veneer is custom made for each tooth. Veneers allows us to change the colour. Shape and to some extent the position of the tooth without the radical cutting of the tooth.
Veneering requires two appointments. The first is to remove a thin layer of enamel from the surface of the tooth and to take an impression. The impression is sent to the dental technician who will fabricate the veneers. The second appointment is to check that the appearance is what is desired and to permanently cement the veneers.
A question we get a lot of is in relation to patients who wish to have tooth coloured fillings. This is usually achieved by using a tooth coloured plastic (composite resin). Unfortunately, if the filling is large, this material may not be strong or robust enough to guarantee a successful long term restoration. The way we do this is by what is known as a Cerec Inlay. An inlay is a laboratory made filling in which an impression is taken of the filling cavity and the laboratory makes a precise restoration for the patient. This is then cemented permanently into the cavity by the dentist.
